Scoop FAQ:

Don't let questions pile up!

How do you ensure my pet's safety during cleanup?

Your dog’s safety is our top priority. We thoroughly clean all equipment and footwear between every yard using a kennel-grade disinfectant to prevent the spread of germs. We also take a photo of your closed gate after each visit, so you know your pets are secure. Every member of our team is background checked for your peace of mind.

Can you clean with my dog in the yard?

Yes, we love working with dogs! If your dog has shown signs of aggression, we simply ask that you leave them inside during the service. Ensuring the safety of our team is a top priority. Should your dog act aggressively toward our staff, we’ll request they remain indoors, or we may have to remove your service from our schedule.

Is it bad to leave dog waste in my yard?

Yes, leaving dog waste in your yard is a problem. It is not a fertilizer and can actually harm your lawn and garden. Dog waste also pollutes the environment and carries bacteria and parasites that pose health risks to both pets and people. Many HOAs and neighborhood associations mandate that residents clean up after their pets, so regular waste removal is important.

Isn’t the problem basically solved if the mower runs over the piles? Doesn’t it just disappear?

Oh, if only it were that easy! Running over waste with the mower does not make it go away. It actually spreads it across your yard, which increases the risk of bacteria and parasites contaminating your outdoor space and eventually being tracked inside. Your dog’s paws, your shoes, and even your kids can carry microscopic particles into your home.

Are your services available throughout the year?

Yes! Scoop We Doo provides dog waste removal services year-round. Here in Texas, our mild climate allows us to maintain consistent service throughout the year. We’ll be there through the summer heat, fall leaves, and winter months. In the rare event of severe weather conditions that make it unsafe to provide service, we’ll reschedule your visit as soon as conditions improve.

Do I need to sign a long-term contract?

No contracts! You can start, pause, or cancel service anytime through your customer portal or by giving us a quick call.

How do you dispose of collected pet waste?

Proper disposal is essential, as dog waste is considered a hazardous material.
We offer two disposal methods: we can haul the waste away and dispose of it through local waste management, or we can double-bag it and place it in your outdoor trash can or in a designated spot on your property.

Can I schedule service for a specific day?

We’ll always aim to find a schedule that works well for you. You’re welcome to request a preferred day, and we’ll do our best to accommodate it. Our routes are planned by neighborhood to keep things efficient, so availability can vary.

Do you provide service time windows?

While we do not provide exact arrival windows, we will send you a text notification within about an hour before we arrive. For our early morning 7 a.m. route, you can expect a text approximately 15 to 20 minutes prior to arrival to minimize early disruptions.

How much does it cost to hire a professional pooper scooper?

Our pricing is based on your preferred service frequency, whether you want weekly, 2x weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly visits. Use our instant quote tool to see rates for each option!
